The nice thing about creating a videoclip is that you have a certain kind of freedom. Most of the time filming is about ‘going with the flow’ and being inspired by the moment. The final clip is really made in the edit. Well, for the videoclip of ‘Baby Blue’ we needed this freedom badly…

Louise, the singer of  ‘Baby Blue’ came up from Limburg, the south of The Netherlands to star in the video. After doing the make up in the studio we went out to the beachside of Bloemendaal.  The weather was so bad that every plan we had made beforehand had to be thrown overboard. For the film we used a canon-dslr and shot mostly on the go. The wind was blowing so hard that 2 people had to take care of the tripod. But Louise sang and acted like she had done it many times before. For most shots we even used just one take. Finally the extreme weather worked out very well because it gave us the extra dimension we needed. How can you otherwise make long hair wave so brutally on screen?
