CURLY’S LAW.

Curly’s law appears in a scene in the 1991 comedy City Slickers where Billy Crystal’s character Mitch, is alone with Curly a tough old cowboy, played by Jack Palance. Curly is giving Mitch some life advice.

Curly: Do you know what the secret of life is?
This [holds up one finger].
Mitch: Your finger?
Curly: One thing. Just one thing.
You stick to that and everything else don’t mean shit.
Mitch: But, what is the “one thing?”
Curly [smiles]: That’s what you gotta figure out.
